Recent studies show that more consumers are choosing to use their debit cards, rather than cash or check, for daily purchases. But unless proper caution is exercised, they might pose as big of a risk as carrying cash.

Is Your First American Card Lost or Stolen?
If your ATM/Debit Card is lost or stolen, report it to First American within two (2) business days. Your liability is limited by federal regulations to $50. If you do not report the loss or theft within two (2) business days, you could be responsible for up to $500. You should also report any lost or stolen cards to Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian by calling (800) 523-4175.
